Is the GameDay easy to use?

Yes, it is very easy to use, it's as simple as 1,2,3. 1 is for preparation, 2 is performance, 3 is for recovery. Follow the instructions from your Athletic Trainer or contact one of ours for your sport specific GameDay plan.

Can I use the GameDay more than one time a day?

Yes, the GameDay may be used for up to 4 sessions per day. A course of treatments may go between 6-12 days depending on the nature of the pain.

How long do I have to charge the GameDay before use, and how long does the battery last?

Initial charging and re-charging will take 2-3 hours. The GameDay has a charging light that will illuminate green when the battery is charged, and will illuminate red when it needs to be recharged.

Is GameDay safe?

Yes, GameDay laser is completely safe, but you must follow the manufacturer's instructions and be aware of all contraindications. Read the device operating and protocol manuals before usage. GameDay devices have FDA Clearance.

What about visual safety? Are my eyes safe when using the GameDay laser?

A person should never look at a laser emitter, or any similar light source, for more than 30 seconds. The GameDay laser is designed to low power specifications with maximum attention to eye safety. Whether or not you decide to use the safety goggles is largely a matter of personal preference and comfort.

Can I burn myself with the laser?

No, you cannot burn yourself with the laser.

What happens if something goes wrong with my device?

GameDay lasers come with a full two-year warranty. Should anything go wrong during the warranty period, we will either repair or replace your device free of charge. Please call our toll-free number or Contact Us if you have any questions regarding this policy.

How quickly do your devices ship to buyers?

We ship all devices within 48 hours via FedEx or UPS. We will provide tracking numbers for you if you so request.

How deep into the tissue can laser light penetrate?

Over 4,000 studies and papers and 170 double-blind peer reviewed clinical studies have shown that the level of tissue penetration by the laser beam depends on the beam's optical characteristics, as well as the laser light's wavelength.

Other factors affecting the depth of penetration are the technical design of the laser device and the particular treatment technique used. There is no exact limit with respect to the depth penetrated by the light.

What is the difference between pulsed and continuous wave lasers?

Many laser products available to consumers use less powerful continuous wave lasers. GameDay uses true super pulsed laser technology to deeply penetrate tissue.

Continuous wave lasers produce a fixed level of power during emission.

Super pulsed lasers, as the name implies, produce a brief high power level light impulse. It is the high power level achieved during each pulse that drives the light energy to the target tissue.

Even though the pulse peaks at a high power level, tissue will not be burned because the pulses are of such short duration.

By using super pulsed lasers, one is able to more effectively drive light energy into tissue. The laser and electronic technologies required to use pulsed diodes are more advanced and the diodes themselves are more expensive than the continuous wave diodes.

Is using laser and light for sports medicine safe?

Yes. Using laser and light is a safe, drug-free, non-invasive, natural therapy -- free from side effects.

However, since lasers produce a high intensity light, one should never shine the laser directly into the eye.

Also, pregnant women should refrain from laser applied directly to the abdomen. People with pacemakers should not use laser near the heart.

Is laser and light therapy scientifically well documented?

There are more than 170 double blind positive studies confirming the clinical effects of laser and light therapy. More than 4,000 research reports have been published.

More than 90 percent of these studies verify the clinical value of laser therapy. A review of negative results shows that low dosage was the single most significant factor. Dosage is the light energy delivered to a given unit area during treatment.

Does using laser and light for pain relief cause heat damage or cancer in the tissue?

Absolutely not. The average power and the type of light source (non-ionizing) laser uses do not permit heat-damage or carcinogenic (cancer-causing) effects.
